Ricardo Kaka was formally showed as a Real Madrid player in a Hollywood-style show to approximately 50,000 sports fan* at the Bernabeu on Tues. Director general Jorge Valdano had promised chairman Florentino Perez’s second spell at the helm would be a “super-production” and they didn't disappoint with the presentation of their 1st signing.
“It's a very special day for me. I hope I can write my name in the club’s history books with victories and conquests,” a slightly overawed Kaka stated from a stage on the pitch.
The Brazilian playmaker was showed with the number 8 shirt and had to be saved by bodyguards as he walked around the pitch to greet lovers. A lot of of them jumped over the barriers and tried to touch the former AC Milano player who cost Real sixty-seven million euros.
Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo, who was signed for a world record fee of eighty million pound sterling* ($132.7 million) last calendar week, will be presented on Mon in different event covered live on TV and internet sites across the world. But Kaka said he wasn't disquieted that another big name signing would make tensions within the team.
